Building Committee Mission
To recommend a Fire Station Building Plan for the Town of Bridgewater which will accommodate the needs of a modern firefighting and the emergency medical response service required of Bridgewater’s Fire Department.
The Committee shall assist the Town Manager in the development and the construction of a modern fire facility(ies) which with serve the Fire/Ambulance and administrative needs of the Town. The Committee’s work shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Assist town officials and consultant with the research, identifying possible locations, and overseeing construction of a municipal use Fire Facility(ies);
- Review financial analyses concerning a proposed Fire facility(ies), including identification of current town needs to be served by the project, the long-term needs of the department, and the design, engineering, construction and annual maintenance requirements.
- Work with appropriate Town offices and committees to assess the cost of energy and research the potential for alternative energy savings.
